Quickstart guide for git-is-deployed
====================================

``git-is-deployed`` is a simple script to update a git tag and somewhat abuse the tag system. It will force the current commit to be tagged with ``deployed``. This is useful when working with multiple states for (by example) a website. It makes a simple bookmark for the currently live state of code.

Installation
============

First, clone the repo: ::

git clone git://eclecticmedia.space/public/git-is-deployed

Now, copy the file within ``./bin`` anywhere on your path. Optionally, the ``setup.py`` script exists to automatically copy the script to ``/opt``, assuming ``/opt`` is on your path.

Usage
=====

The script is exceedingly simple, as it does not require any arguments. ::

$ git is-deployed # when git finds a script on your path that has `git-` as the first characters, it appends it to your git executable.
